Johnson & Johnson and its attorneys have been hit with a class action suit accusing them of spoliation and fraud in thousands of lawsuits over the sale of industrial asbestos.
The suit was filed in Middlesex County, New Jersey, Superior Court on Monday, following an April 13 ruling from U.S. Chief Bankruptcy Judge Michael Kaplan authorizing plaintiffs lawyers to file the case despite his previous order staying 38,000 individual suits alleging that baby powder caused ovarian cancer and mesothelioma.
