The Amazon truck was headed southbound on I-35 around 6:30 a.m., according to the San Antonio Police Department. The driver lost control on the wet roadway and crashed through the outside barrier over Weidner Road. The tractor fell to the ground below and the trailer rode along the guardrail before getting stuck.
The 42-year-old driver was not injured, police said. No other people or vehicles were involved, as was previously reported by the San Antonio Fire Department.
The southbound access road and the two outside lanes of I-35 were closed for several hours while crews worked to clean up the crash site.
It was unclear whether the truck was loaded with packages.
Another Amazon trailer crashed Nov. 29 in Kendall County, losing part of its trailer. Images posted by the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office show packages scattered across the road.
