1 arrested in suspected DUI crash that closed down Woodmen Friday night – KKTV 11 News

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Drinking and driving is suspected in a crash Friday night that hospitalized multiple people and shut down a roadway for more than four hours.
Police say a Chevy Silverado slammed into a Toyota Camry that was trying to make a turn off of Duryea Drive onto East Woodmen Road. After impact, the Silverado flipped over and both vehicles ended up in the westbound lanes of Woodmen.
Woodmen was shut down in both directions until just after 1:30 Saturday morning.
Everyone involved in the crash was transported to the hospital for evaluation. All are expected to recover.
Police said they arrested 31-year-old Kevin Burgess for his role in the collision.
Colorado Springs firefighters originally said three cars were involved in the crash.
